Politics is a funny game and one where the democratic leader cannot take the

2010 Victorian Election

power and privilege for granted. Unfortunately for Premier Brumby and the Victorian Labor Party that’s what they did and they paid for it last weekend by losing the state election. Complacency, arrogance and an attitude of entitlement created a political brand that says one thing and stands for something else –

For Victoria’s constituents this time the spin and razamatazz was one story they were no longer able to buy-

 The labor brand as it stands has been trashed and the time is now when the transformation begins.

That’s the thing about democracy, in its final analysis every citizen has a vote and at times this single vote can have a transformative effect – watch this space!
