Whitelion expands its mission to Sydney…

Whitelion is launching their new Sydney operation  tomorrow and I will be there in my capacity as a member of the Whitelion Leadership Council.

This is an exciting initiative for us all as an organisation and I encourage all our friends and colleagues to support us in continuing this important work now in NSW –

The following is a media fact sheet telling you more about the event.

Not for profit organisation Whitelion is about to launch its employment program in New South Wales, assisting young people in Western Sydney who have had contact with or re at risk of having contact with the youth justice and out of home care systems. The program, which has been successfully operating in Victoria, South Australia and Tasmania for 10 years, is being funded by nearly half a million dollars of NSW Government money. Working closely with employers, the program is designed to create real opportunities for young people aged between 15-24, provides real jobs for real wages and assists young people in turning their lives around.

Daniel Grollo will be present, as Chief Executive of development and construction company Grocon-a long-time supporter of Whitelion and participator in the employment program. Grocon has already committed to taking on two Whitelion young people to kick start the program in NSW. He will be joined by Whitelion CEO Mark Watt and the Honourable Barbara Perry MP, Minister for Juvenile Justice.
